Festival attracts record number of Welsh food producers
Confidence in Wales’ food sector is booming, evidenced by the number of Welsh companies that will have stalls selling food and drink at the Narberth Food Festival.
Over 50 food and drink producers have booked to be at the event and of these the number of Welsh businesses represented will be the highest ever, says Festival chair Colin Russell.
“One of the aims of the Festival is to promote Welsh producers so we are delighted that so many will be attending,’’ he said.
Whilst many have been supporting the Festival for years, it will be the first time for 13 businesses.
Some of the stalls will be set out in a dedicated marquee and there will also be a street food area, tempting visitors with everything from sushi and Middle Eastern cuisine to crepes and wood-fired pizzas.
” Came across this festival last year whilst looking for somewhere to spend the weekend and it was amazing. Such a friendly, fun atmosphere, lots of great food, producers who were willing to talk to you about their creations, super demonstrations, a range of music! We were lucky with the weather, sun shone all weekend. Great value, we have already booked a pitch at the local camp site so we can attend again this year! “
