Narberth Food Festival
Get in the mood for the Festival with Friday’s SPAN Arts gig at the Queen’s Hall.
On Saturday or Sunday, take it easy. Select something to eat from our many food stalls, collect something to go with it from a hot drinks seller or our licensed bar, and relax in the seating around the Music Stage.
There’s an eclectic mix of the best of local talent with something to suit everyone’s taste: some people come here just for the music. Sample some of it by following the links.
Here's the complete line-up
FURNACE MOUNTAIN

Friday 24 September
SPAN Arts evening presentation at the Queens Hall.

ALICE & JASON

Saturday, 11am
The lead singers from two bands come together – acoustically. Alice Davidson is a soulful singer with lots of fans from her days as singer with local ska band, Johnny Action Finger. With her on guitar will be Jason who still writes, sings and plays guitar with Johnny Action Finger.

PAT GROVER'S BLUES HAWKS

Saturday, 1pm
Classic R & B from a fine local band
FIDDLEBOX

Saturday, 2pm
Sunday, various times around the Festival
Popular fiddle, accordion and vocal duo. Helen plays quirkily-phrased jigs, eastern-European horas and klezmer-style instrumentals, whilst George throws in chirpy pop songs with cleverly contrived lyrics.

JONSKI
Saturday, 4pm
‘The Gruffalo-voiced singer who is a star on a sofa all over the county!’ - Declan Connolly
Hear him at www.myspace.com/jonskioo
A CERTAIN TRIO
Saturday, 5pm
A group of renegade musicians with a Welsh take on Americana. The line-up features Jim Edwards on piano & vocals, Shelle Belle on a vast array of percussion and Allan Wilkinson on bass.
THE AMBER HOUR

Sunday 1pm
Acoustic duo from Cardiff and favourites at the Queen’s Hall, Narberth. Hannah and Lucy Dickenson’s vocals combine melancholy folk, heavy rhythms and pop sensibilities to create a sound that is innovative and irresistible.
Hear them at www.myspace.com/theamberhour
JOSH DOUGHTY

Sunday, 3pm
Josh has mastered the West African kora, a kind of double harp based on a huge gourd. Gorgeous music for a (late) summer’s day.
Listen and learn at www.thekoraworkshop.co.uk/Josh_Doughty.html
And don’t miss our street entertainers: Narberth always gets the best.
