Narberth Food Festival

We have an exciting and fun programme of activities planned for Education Day 2010.

When?
24th September 2010.

Where?
In the Festival Main Marquee.

Why?
Have fun, learn about food and cooking, try new foods.

Who?
Over 100 Year 5/6 pupils from Narberth, Tavernspite & Templeton primary schools.

What?
Talks, demonstrations, tastings and hands-on activities.

Theme: Breakfast Around The World

Morning activities include making and tasting breakfasts from:
Britain (sausages)
America (3 variations)
France (croissants & hot chocolate)
Scandinavia (yoghourt with honey & fruit)
India
Denmark (Danish pastries)
Wales (tea ice-cream!)

At lunchtime international students from Pembrokeshire College present breakfast dishes from their own countries for the children to try.

Afternoon sessions:
Cookery demo (Alex Perks) Mexican: Churros and chocolate
Breakfasts of the past – illustrated talk
Banner-making – for decorating the Festival’s Talks Tent
