Narberth

Narberth Town MoorJust off the A40 an hour west of Swansea, Narberth is an ideal venue for a festival. It boasts several good food shops, (and a refreshing lack of big name chain stores or supermarkets), a selection of cafes and pubs, a newly-refurbished country hotel, a free car park and the best venue for live entertainment, bands, drama, music, poetry, in the whole of West Wales. The Food Festival creates a carnival atmosphere in September, just as the traditional holidaymakers are coming off Pembrokeshire’s famous beaches such as nearby Tenby and Saundersfoot.

Food Festival events take place within walking distance of each other in the town, all centred around the town moor Festival Marquee (adjacent to the central car park).

Enjoy the festival, and take time to browse around Narberth’s independent shops, many of which are open on Sunday, or have a meal. With excellent rail, road and public transport links, accommodation from hotels to b+b to campsites to self catering are available in the town and in the surrounding villages, and many offer cut-price short breaks at this time of year - see www.holiday-pembrokeshire.co.uk for information.
