Narberth Food Festival patron Angela Gray
opens cookery school in Pembrokeshire (By Sarah Hoss)
Food writer, broadcaster, consultant and regular BBC TV and radio guest chef Angela Gray, Narberth Food Festival's patron, is set to share the secrets of her success with a new audience as she launches her own cookery school venture in Pembrokeshire. With years of restaurant and cookery demonstration experience behind her, Angela has worked across Europe and beyond in her culinary quest for fine food and has become one of the leading lights in the Welsh food scene.
Now Angela wants to put Pembrokeshire produce – and one of the county's most glamorous locations – centre stage as she hits the road to share her passion for modern Welsh cuisine.
Slebech Park, between Narberth and Haverfordwest, just off the A40, was chosen because of Angela’s long association with Pembrokeshire and the many fine food producers that are based in the area. The house is situated by the Cleddau estuary and is set in 600 acres of natural parkland. Slebech’s historic Dutch style walled garden will provide fresh ingredients for the cookery school.
